Bible verse for 8/30/23 – Walk with God – John 14:23

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Bible verse for 5/10/23 – Walk with God – Romans 14:17

17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

Bible verse for 5/3/23 – Walk with God – Philippians 1:6

6″There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.”

Bible verse for 4/19/23 – Walk with God – II Corinthians 5:7,8

7 For we walk by faith, not by sight: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Bible verse for 3/15/23 – Walk with God – Psalm 102:25-27

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.

27 But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

Bible verse for 3/8/23 – Walk with God – Hebrews 4:2 (AMPC version)

For indeed we have had the glad tidings [Gospel of God] proclaimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them]; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (with [a]the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; [b]neither were they united in faith with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe).

Bible verse for 3/1/23 – Walk with God – Psalm 103:2-5

Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Bible verse for 2/15/23 – Walk with God – James 13:16-18

16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

Bible verse for 2/15/23 – Walk with God – Hebrews 13:5,6

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,       “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

So we say with confidence,      “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?”

Bible verse for 2/8/23 – Walk with God – Titus 1:15-16

15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

Bible verse for 12/7/22. – Walk with God – Philemon 1:4-7

with special emphasis on verse 6

4 I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, 5 because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. 6 I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. 7 Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.

19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”

Bible verse for 11/23/22.      Psalm 2:1-7

Why do the nations conspire[a]
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
    and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
“Let us break their chains
    and throw off their shackles.”

The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
    the Lord scoffs at them.
He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
“I have installed my king
    on Zion, my holy mountain.”

I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:

He said to me, “You are my son;
today I have become your father.

Bible Verse for November 16/22 is Deuteronomy 8:18

18 “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”

Bible Verse for November 9/22 is Galatians 6:7-9

“7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

These verses help build our faith as we think on them and ask for God’s wisdom to be with us as we study them through the week to come.

Bible Verse for October 19/22 is  Proverbs 1:5

“The wise will hear and increase their learning,
And the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth],”
